CSI is deeply concerned about the victims of the Kerala floods. We
encourage members of the Tri State area to unite and lend a hand to
help these victims through any means possible. For those interested in donating to helping with the relief efforts, please donate through the CSI. All donations made through the CSI will be tax deductible.
CSI is working with Uma Sankar who used to reside in Owensboro as she
and her team are working with others to help raise funds for the relief
effort. If you are not familiar with the extent of damage or for more
information about the relief efforts, please see this link.
Please
note that a check will be written on behalf of the Tri State community
to the Kerala Chief Minister Fund. Please note that there are also
misleading reports about the funds collected. We have verified that this
is a completely safe way to help and these funds are being audited
severely. Kerala is a beautiful state and it will take a lot of time and
effort to restore the massive state-wide damage. Let us do our part and
help! For any questions about the Chief Minister Fund, please feel free
to contact us or email umakeithkyle@gmail.com directly. Thanks you in advance for your generous contribution. Together we CAN make a difference!
Those wishing to pay by check (to avoid credit card transaction costs), please contact us by sending an email to tristatecsi@gmail.com or by mailing the check directly to Cultural Society of India, PO Box 3491, Evansville, IN 47734-3491.
