Holi

Holi is the festival of colors that is celebrated in Spring every year. This year it will be celebrated on March 27, 2013. Whenever I think of Holi, it reminds me of a very colorful day filled with fun where we put dry colors as well as get wet by throwing colored water on each other. It is a fun filled festival that brings people from all parts of India together. Sometimes it is very difficult to even recognize people because of the color on their faces! During Holi, in some parts of India, a buttermilk pot is tied high up and people form a pyramid to break the pot. Looks scary but must be fun. Holi is one of the most fun festivals in India and my favorite one as well.
